Greg had recorded a couple of songs I had written,,at his house ,(about the same time) as well ; Leeanne on vocals , he used a 4 track cassette recording unit,,yet came up with some great recordings,,he had given me a cassette of the songs he recorded at his house with Pride in Peril , I very much liked every song on it

I was one of Bob's ferry pilots for the Shrike. I flew it from airshow site to airshow site for many years. It will be 20 years ago tomorrow (October 10, 2003) that Bob and I flew it on its final flight to the Smithsonian Udvar-Hazy center at Dulles airport in Washington D.C. Bob honored those of us that helped him with airshows by painting our names on the nose of the Shrike. Sadly, two weeks from now (October 25th) we lost Bob forever. The greatest aerial demonstration pilot the world has ever seen and probably ever will see. God speed and good tail winds old friend.

That slight touch down of the right strut , climb out w/a dirty roll ... actually a dangerous maneuver for any Pilot with thousands of hours. Unless I missed where to look for footage , Mr Hoover owns the bragging rights to this Performance maneuver including others in Propeller type aircraft.

Bruce Lockwood in my estimation is one of the most outstanding individuals I have met in my short time on the planet. I still have the titanium spring catalog that Bruce lent me back in the 1990's. I'm probably one of the worst friends Bruce has. Bruce explained how he was going to win at Reno and then he went out and woke gold.

My 2 favorite pilots back in the 70's and 80's were Steve Hinton and Bob Hoover! Red Baron was a beautiful bird.

I first met Bob Hoover in Reno 1975. I was almost 13 years old then. Watched him nearly every September until '86. What a showman!!
